Dr. Catherine Ziegler graduated from LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2014. Immediately following graduation, she accepted an internship in Equine Medicine & Surgery at Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center in Cave Creek, Arizona. Dr. Ziegler’s southern roots were so strong, she returned to Louisiana after completing her internship. In the last year, Dr. Ziegler has also completed all requirements to receive her certification in acupuncture for both small animal and equine through the Chi Institute.
Her interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and alternative medicine (i.e., acupuncture and herbal therapy). She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, American Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, and the Veterinary Honor Society, Phi Zeta.
Outside of work, Dr. Ziegler enjoys spending time with her two frenchies, Raven and Mousey, as well as family and friends.
Dr. Roberta Beckers is a 1989 graduate of LSU school of Veterinary Medicine. She also received her Bachelors degree in Microbiology. Dr. Beckers married in 1990. Over the years she has had 4 children: Madison, Robert, Joseph and Jacob. She started Animal Health Clinic in 1991 as a single proprietor. Dr. Beckers also received her certification in canine rehabilitation and has graduated from the Veterinary Management Institute of Purdue University. Dr. Beckers continues to update her skills by routinely taking continuing education courses in ultrasound, orthopedics, and canine rehabilitation just to name a few. Dr. Beckers continues to strive to keep the clinic progressive and loyal to its customers. Dr. Beckers cherishes her free time by spending it with her children and husband Robert.
Dr. Maria Delaup (DVM, CVA) joined the AHC team in 2012. She graduated LSU Veterinary School in 2006 and received her certification in veterinary acupuncture from the Chi Institute in 2014. Her focus of interest is to help your pet be a healthy happy companion both mentally and physically, through all life stages. Special interests are canine conditioning, positive reinforcement based training, nutrition and behavior. She also incorporates TCVM and acupuncture with a special focus on maintaining quality of life into the senior years.
Established in 1991, Animal Health Clinic in Covington, LA is proud to be an AAHA certified practice. Our goal is simple, to provide total health for your pet. We offer complete veterinary and surgical care as well as aquatic, laser and massage therapy and acupuncture. Our Fit Camp focuses on weight loss, conditioning and nutrition-- keys to a healthy pet. We also offer doggie daycare, poolplay, pet boarding and grooming.
